OXNARD, Calif. -- The Dallas Cowboys?have place linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive end Randy Gregory on the reserve/did not report list as they open training camp.The moves give the Cowboys two roster spots as they open practice on Saturday. Executive vice president Stephen Jones said the Cowboys would bring players in for workouts on Saturday to fill those spots and one would most likely be a linebacker.Gregory is at a treatment facility and is not expected to join the team at training camp this summer. He is also facing a longer suspension for another violation of the substance-abuse policy, according to sources. He has already been suspended the first four games of the season.McClains status is up in the air. While the Cowboys knew Gregory would not report to camp, McClain was expected on the teams flight to California on Wednesday and wasnt.McClain will be suspended the first 10 games of the season for violating the substance abuse policy. He skipped most of the offseason program and organized team activities and did not practice during the June minicamp.Players on the reserve/did not report list are subject to daily fines, but Stephen Jones would not divulge whether the team would actually fine either player. According to the collective bargaining agreement players can be fined up to $30,000 per day.Theres some details that go into their situations that were not going to discuss, Stephen Jones said.Jones would not discuss when the last time members of the organization spoke to McClain, but they have been in contact with the players agent, Pat Dye.The Cowboys prepared for the McClains uncertain status by signing veteran linebacker Justin Durant two weeks ago.
